Church Holme is only 15 minutes from the A1 at Leeming Bar, and being conveniently located in the Vale of Mowbray, between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. This makes Church Holme a great base to explore the region from Dales villages to the west, Thirsk and York to the south, The North York Moors to the east, with the east coast within a 40 minute drive, and places such as Barnard Castle to the north. With Northallerton only 4 miles away, staying local is also full of things to see and do.

Northallerton has an array of diverse shops, including Barkers Department Store, Lewis and Cooper fine food store, there is even a pot painting parlour and Juke Box and Vinyl record store. There is also a local market every Wednesday and Saturday selling local produce. There are many cafe’s and places to eat including Betty’s tea rooms. There are good transport links from Northallerton with the East Coast mainline taking you north to Durham, Newcastle and Edinburgh or south to York, Leeds or even London.
